Slope mowers already exist. We retrofit autonomy over the radio link they already run on, so the machine stops needing a skilled hand on the sticks. Priced per acre, whether you run one or twelve.
The constraint
Every machine needs its own operator.
The work is legally required, compressed into a narrow spring window, and every district needs it at once. You can’t hire your way out of demand that arrives all at once and disappears for ten months.
The constraint isn’t the iron, it’s that every machine consumes one trained person’s full attention for a full day. Remove that and it pays differently depending on who you are: run the window with people you can actually hire, work the machine dawn to dusk instead of one shift, or stop being one-operator-one- machine once you have a few.
Why it’s dangerous
The fatality band and the design band are the same band.
Nobody takes a ride-on up a 45° face. They take it up a 2:1 embankment because it looks manageable.
The hard part
On wet grade, wheel odometry lies.
The machine slides downhill while believing it’s tracking straight. We estimate slip as a first-class state and plan against tip-over margin, not path error.
